This report is an outcome of a joint research “Integration of rural economy into market through the forced migration : Case studies in Ayacucho, Peru” that was carried out in Lima, Peru, during the fiscal year 2002.
The research group consists of three researchers : Tatsuya Shimizu of IDE - JETRO and visiting researcher at Research Center in the Pacific University (Centro de Investigación, Universidad del Pacífico : CIUP) ; Alfredo Valencia, researcher at the Center of Population Promotion and Development (Centro de Promoción y Desarrollo Poblacional : CEPRODEP) ; and Jefrey Gamarra, Director of the Institute of Research and Promotion for Development and Peace (Instituto de Investigación y Promoción para el Desarrollo y Paz : IPAZ) and Professor of the University of San Cristóbal de Huamanga (UNSCH) in Ayacucho.
