The day before yesterday I was late for school Te explico como lo hice : Esas palabras que, como sabes, estan en preterito simple, siempre van a ir antes del sujeto.
Luego, para que no tenga un presente (Is, are y am) debes cambiarlo por were y was.
Esos, al igual que is, are y am, son del verbo To Be.
Para saber cambiarlo : Are : wereis, am : wasCualquier cosa que no entiendas te respondo con gusto (si es que se como responder tu pregunta).
SI te sientes mas segura con tu profesor / a, no hay problema!
