The internal combustion engines of vehicles emit various types of gases and particles that pollute the environment, the products emitted in greater quantities are : nitrous oxides (NOx), carbon monoxide (CO), carbon dioxide (CO2) , volatile organic compounds and also macroparticles.
Because of their high degree of industrialization and economic activity of the industries, the transports that take place in developed countries are responsible for 30% to 90% of the total pollutant gases emitted by traffic worldwide.
Gases also contain gasoline engines emit lead compounds and small amounts of sulfur dioxide and hydrogen sulfide.
In addition, since the brake systems have parts built with asbestos, small amounts of asbestos are released into the atmosphere when the brake is applied.
