En resumen
PRESENT CONTINUOS PASSIVE = Presente Contínuo del Verbo To Be ( = is being) + Participio Pasado del Verbo principal ( = checked). Someone's ticket "is being checked". El boleto de alguien "está siendo controlado".

PRESENT CONTINUOS PASSIVE = Presente Contínuo del Verbo To Be ( = is being) + Participio Pasado del Verbo principal ( = checked).
Someone's ticket "is being checked".
El boleto de alguien "está siendo controlado".
(Si el sujeto fuera plural sería "are being" + participio)
En esta oración no se pone quién realiza la acción de controlar el
boleto porque no es importante quién lo hace sino que está siendo
controlado.
Es por esta razón que en la oración no dice "by him" ( = por
él).
A esto te lo digo por si al ver la oración sin ese complemento te
parece raro.
Pasaje De Un Verbo En Voz Activa A Voz Pasiva
En la oraciones en Voz Pasiva, el verbo To Be tiene que estar en el
tiempo verbal que está la oración en voz activa y se le agrega el
participio pasado del verbo principal de la oración en voz activa.
Otro ejemplo :
My sisters "are decorating" my house.
Mis hermanas están decorando mi
casa.
(Oración en Voz Activa = en Present Continuous Active del verbo To
Decorate.

My house "is being decorated" by my sisters.
Mi casa "está siendo decorada" por mis hermanas.
(Oración en Voz Pasiva = en Present Continuous Passive = Present
Continuous de To Be + Participio Pasado del Verbo principal de la activa
que es el verbo To Decorate.
