Present simple indicates an action that happens repetitively, while present continuous indicates the action is happening right now.
For example :
"I run" Can mean, that I run every day, that I run competitively or that I can run, while "I am running" Tells you I am doing it right now.
El presente simple indica una acción que ocurre repetitivamente, mientras que el presente continuo indica algo que sucede en este momento.
